This work reinterprets the fable of the tortoise and the hare through the symbol of yin and yang, offering a reflection on the balance between opposites. The hare, associated with speed, lightness, and impulse, contrasts with the tortoise, an emblem of patience, endurance, and perseverance. Far from excluding each other, both forces complement one another: speed needs pause, and slowness gives meaning to haste. The detailed linework and chiaroscuro evoke the aesthetics of traditional printmaking, while the circular format reinforces the idea of cycles and wholeness. The work thus becomes a visual metaphor for harmony between opposites and the wisdom that comes from understanding the rhythms of life.
